3: Soldiers Who Survived
Researching
soldiers who survived the war can be more difficult, as many records were lost
in the Blitz of WW2, but this package provides you with the basic information
about the soldier you are researching using the following sources at the National
Archives in London:

Copy of Medal Index Card giving
details of the campaign medals awarded to the soldier.

Copy of Medal Roll - which
often shows all the battalions served in.

Search for a surviving Service
Record: note that many have not survived. When they do survive,
typically they can be 15/20+ pages. If survived, copies will be made.

Search of Paul Reed's personal
archives and photographic collection for any related material.

Plus the usual detailed summary and
conclusions explaining the research sent to you.

Research presented in an attractive
folder with colour cover page showing regiment/unit badge.
